Q: Is it necessary to connect a water level probe?
A: The most important probes are for the well. This will prevent damage to the motor when the water level in the well drops. The tank probes can be used if needed but is not critical. When the motor runs dry this will cause damage to the screw as well as the bearings and seals on the motor.
